You Are Not Alone
The enemy wants you to believe it. He wants to isolate you and make you feel alone. He wants to get your mind off the truth and dwell on what’s wrong and certainly untrue.
Maybe you’ve been feeling down, worn out, depressed, anxious, and so much more. Been there. Everyone has their own stuff going on and maybe you are only seeing others highlight reels. Guilty.
Let me start by preaching some truth that no one has it all together. That’s just kind of how life is. Don’t believe the lie that you are the only one who can’t get through it or get out of that funk.
There are moments where I tend to walk down that thought of everyone else has got their stuff all neat and put together but me. I have to constantly preach to myself and remind myself that I am not alone, that it’s okay to not be perfect, and that the Lord is with me. It’s in these moments I turn to the truth- God’s word. Then I reach out to my friends and share my struggles.
But why do we feel alone? Is it social media driven? We feel so connected through a phone yet are lacking real life community? I think that is part of the problem. We’ve lost the beauty in true community. Life is not meant to be lived alone.
I think the other part of the problem may be that we see so many things come at us through shows, influencers, and celebrities of what our live should be. But it’s not real life. We’ve stopped looking at the truth and started looking at what others lives are like and that must be what mine should be. Nope.
Seek the truth in God’s word. Get into community. Maybe even delete some apps off your phone that spur thoughts of feeling alone.
Turn off the noise. Think about what you are thinking about and start resting on the truth! I pray that you rest in knowing you are not alone.
